Fiorentina have announced that they have exercised the option to permanently buy Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa. It has been reported that the deal cost La Viola โฌ13m.
The Iceland international already spent the 2024/25 season in Florence, and impressed everyone. In all competitions, Gudmundsson had 8 goals and 3 assists in 33 total matches. In Serie he had the 9th best scoring average, with a great tally of 0.43 goals per 90 minutes. Overall, he scored a goal every 176 minutes, with Fiorentina winning 75% of the games he netted in. Only Moise Kean and Rolando Mandragora scored more for Fiorentina than Gudmundsson, and the former built up a very prolific partnership with him. Overall itโs very clear why they have decided to sign him permanently.
