Serie A side Napoli have been linked with a move for Arsenalโs Gabriel Jesus in recent days. The Italian media has been abuzz with the idea of the striker ending up in Naples as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

The Cameroonian is nearing a renewal at Napoli and he also spoke about the Arsenal striker, who is a primary client of his โ just like Partenopei manager Max Allegri.
He said: โMy trip wasnโt related toย Gabriel Jesus, but to other issues that I think youโve identified.โ
Branchini revealed that several clubs in Italy have sought information for the Brazilian but no formal negotiations have been heldย so far.
โFor several months, many clubs have been sounding out the playerโs situation to understand Arsenalโs intentions, numbers and expectationsย . Iโve had three Italian clubs approach me, and a potential fourth had expressed interest at a time when they seemed on the verge of selling an important striker in the squad.
โThey had the possibility of trying the Gabriel card in their head. This is the reality. And I can add that apart from a couple of Turkish clubs, rejected because they werenโt interested in going to Turkey, there havenโt been any other significant negotiations.โ
Speaking specifically about Napoli, the agent clarified that the possibility of reaching an agreement with Arsenal is currently remote.
โDreaming, possibly, is possible under certain conditions that donโt exist at this stage. And to say otherwise is inappropriate for Napoli and for Gabriel Jesus.โ
