Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to part ways with Napoli boss Antonio Conte

Serie A champions Napoli have seen uncertainties emerge about the future of Antonio Conte. The Italian national team has emerged as an option for the Italian, who is now likely to leave in the summer.

The Partenopei had seen Conteโ€™s future remain uncertain even last summer. But the ex-Chelsea manager committed to another season and has now taken Napoli to a Champions League spot. While he may not win another Scudetto, they have done quite well to jump to second.

Paolo Bargiggia reports โ€“ via AreaNapoli, that CEO Aurelio De Laurentiis is actually keen on seeing Conte leave. That is why he is promoting him to the national team.

On top of that, De Laurentiis also wants to part ways with sporting director Giovanni Manna. He believes the club should be doing more, while keeping in mind the investment made into the side. Thatโ€™s why he doubts whether the two can take Napoli forward, as replacements are already being lined up in Naples.

Key options to replace Conte are Vincenzo Italiano and Fabio Grosso, with names yet to be identified to replace Manna.
