Como consider loan for Chelseaโ€™s Liam Delap after player offered to Italian side

Serie A side Como are currently struggling in a move for Fiorentina striker Moise Kean and could now considering bringing Chelsea striker Liam Delap to Italy.

For many weeks, it felt like the lakeside club were progressing in a move for the Italy international. While Mateo Pellegrino has joined Fiorentina, Keanโ€™s future remains up in the air.

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that in the meantime, the idea of signing Chelseaโ€™s Delap has emerged.

The playerโ€™s candidature has been put forward to Cesc Fabregasโ€™ side, who are considering a possible loan deal. The player would be interested in the transfer, which would present a chance to get back to prominence. But the ball is now in Comoโ€™s court, as they look to sign a striker this summer.

Gamble for Como, huge for Delap

This is the sort of move which could reignite Delapโ€™s lost charm but it would be a big risk for Como, who are playing in the Champions League and would ideally want players who are proven and thriving.

Because of that, an initial loan would make most sense, especially if Como donโ€™t offer Chelsea an obligation to buy him permanent outright.
