Crystal Palace & Everton eye €20m Youssouf Fofana, but player wants Milan stay

Premier League outfits Crystal Palace and Everton are interested in acquiring the services of Milan’s Youssouf Fofana.

According to a report by Daniele Longo, Milan have set a price tag of €20 million for the sale of midfielder Youssouf Fofana this summer. The 27-year-old has attracted interest from Crystal Palace and Everton.

Why is it a tough ask for Crystal Palace to make the transfer?

The two English top-flight sides have sent official inquiries to assess the player’s availability and to understand the Rossoneri’s demands, but they are yet to receive a positive call from the Frenchman. Crystal Palace are looking to touch the heights of last season and could emerge as the likely destination for Fofana, and Milan should be satisfied with a deal since they consider him to be an expendable asset.

Despite these developments, Fofana is not looking to leave the Serie A side and wants to prove himself to Milan’s new head coach, Ruben Amorim, for a regular place in the starting line-up during the upcoming season.
