Fiorentina have made an approach for Jadon Sancho following his Manchester United exit. The 26-year-old winger was on loan at Aston Villa last season, yet despite being part of the Europa League-winning squad, he couldnโt convince United to offer a new deal.
Now, a shock offer seems to be on its way to the free agent, as Fiorentina are keen to table a three-year deal. La Violaโs sporting director Fabio Paratici has allegedly been a Sancho admirer for a while, yet the terms on offer will certainly have to be lower than the โฌ10 million net total the former England international earned until last season.
Sancho hasnโt yet given a response, but his team will be ready to resolve any concerns in the coming hours. Last year, he turned down a move to Roma, as Gian Piero Gasperini expressly asked Frederic Massara for him. While he chose to stay in the Premier League for the remainder of that term, it now looks like heโll leave England.

Jadon Sancho has been something of a frustrating figure for English football. His rising status took him from the academies of Watford and Manchester City, before he became a poster boy for a British generation trying their hand abroad.
Moving to Borussia Dortmund at the age of 18 in August 2017, Sancho hit the ground running the following season. Flare-filled performances and a plethora of eye-catching goals saw the young Englishman go on to amass 50 all-competition goals in 137 appearances in yellow and black.
In the 2021โ22 campaign, he made the switch to Old Trafford for ยฃ73 million (โฌ85 million) but played beneath this lofty sum. Loans to Dortmund, Chelsea, and Aston Villa only managed to recapture glimmers of the old Sancho before he was allowed to leave Manchester.
Now, he finds himself in the Fiorentina bidding bracket, and with Dortmund looking to throw their hat back into the ring, it feels right that itโd be third timeโs the charm for the 23-cap-earning international.
This writerโs question is not how deep Fiorentinaโs pockets are, but what exactly can they offer aside from a starring role in a midtable side? They may have made several signings already this window, but this move to Florence has signs of being ill-fated.
Would Sancho be prepared to take a pay cut? Additionally, would he be ready for the pace and style of Italian football, in comparison to a German return? The latter certainly feels more likely as the remedy for this somewhat wayward star.
