Inter striker Francesco Pio Esposito remains defiant following a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Bodo/Glimt, insisting that the Nerazzurri have what it takes to overturn the deficit in the second leg.
Speaking to Prime Video, as relayed by TMW, the young forward analyzed the difficulties faced in Norway and the impact of the goals conceded. Esposito refused to accept that the performance was down to a lack of commitment, stating: โI donโt think it was an attitude problem. We saw that other teams have struggled here too; itโs a difficult environment. The two goals in the second half gave us a blow, but itโs still doable.โ
Despite the two-goal margin, Esposito is confident that the return leg at San Siro will tell a different story. He emphasized the teamโs belief in a comeback, adding: โWe know our strength at home. We have to analyze what went wrong, but we are convinced that the qualification is still within reach. Itโs still possible, and we will give everything to turn it around.โ
This comes after Juventus lost 5-2 to Galatasaray last night and Atalanta took a 2-0 beating against Borussia Dortmund. Things look difficult for the two sides but with Inter facing the Norwegian giants at home can make things a bit favourable for Cristian Chivuโs side.
