Gian Piero Gasperini in heated exchange with Roma ownership over transfer business

Serie A side Roma have missed out on attacking midfield targets several times this summer and a move for Antonio Nusa is also looking very complex. This has left Gian Piero Gasperini a bit disturbed.

La Gazzetta dello Sport that the Italian supposed to speak on Sky last night and everything was scheduled up until a couple of hours before the interview began. Then Gasperini changed his mind, preferring not to appear on the TV microphones.

This was a bit of a surprise, obviously, because the interview had been scheduled for days. The Giallorossi coach then kindly apologised to the broadcaster and to the journalist who had arrived in Wales the day before for the interview, promising to return in the coming days.

The reason why he cancelled the interview is because he had a transfer meeting with Ryan Friedkin later in the day. They spoke about transfers and there was a heated exchange over the clubโ€™s inability to sign a player of the Mason Greenwood or Crysencio Summerville ilk.

The Roma boss is nervous about strengthening that position, especially as a move for Nusa is also appearing to float away.

These exchanges and leaks arenโ€™t new from Gasperiniโ€™s end, as the manager constantly does things to get things done his way in the window.
