Juventusโ Director of Football Strategies, Giorgio Chiellini, has addressed the growing speculation surrounding a potential move for Tottenham Hotspur forward Randal Kolo Muani.
Speaking to Sky Sport ahead of Juventusโ Champions League encounter against Monaco, Chiellini acknowledged the clubโs desire to strengthen Luciano Spallettiโs squad while remaining cautious not to interfere with a player currently in action for another club.
Tottenham are said to beopen to sanctioning a late January exit for the Frenchman, who is said to be interested in a return to Turin after previously enjoying his time with the Bianconeri.
However, Chiellini was careful with his words, especially since Kolo Muani was named in the starting lineup for Tottenhamโs crucial European fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday night.
He said โ relayed by Di Marzio: โTottenham are playing tonight, it is not the case to talk about him.โ
โWe are looking for strong profiles, and he felt good here, but he is not our player. We will see in the coming days, we want to give a hand to Spalletti, but we will see.โ
While the former captain confirmed that Juventus are in the market for top-tier reinforcements to assist their manager, he refused to be drawn further on the specifics of the negotiation.
With only a few days remaining in the winter window, the outcome of this pursuit will likely depend on the dialogue following the conclusion of the mid-week European fixtures.
