Serie A side Como have played a big role in Nico Pazโs development in the last two seasons. Despite the playerโs keenness on staying at the lakeside club, Real Madrid are posing problems in the deal.

The situation hinges purely on the transfer formula, for now. Real Madridโs position has now become clear. Jose Mourinho has accepted the idea of the Argentine leaving permanently and this would grand the player his wishes to stay at Como too.
But Cesc Fabregasโ side will have to meet the demand of an immediate permanent transfer. Los Blancos do not want anymore loans and this has, for now, stalked talks between the clubs.

Technical dive
As things stand, Real Madrid have a cheap buyback which can be triggered this summer. Technically, they have significant control over the player, even if he is contracted to Como on a permanent basis. This is because of the cheap buyback fee, which is more like a threat to Como now.
All this means is that for Como to have the player for longer, they would have to hand Real Madrid a capital gain on what they spend using the buyback. The demand from the Spanish club is obviously high and would reflect his current market value, which has only risen.
This also indicates that Nico Paz would anyway be bought back by Real Madrid, who will shell out peanuts. But his future after that will be uncertain, especially if Como donโt return with the requested amount.
