Inter director hopeful Real Madrid signing Denzel Dumfries returns in the future

Serie A side Inter are set to lose Denzel Dumfries to Real Madrid, who have triggered the Dutchmanโ€™s release clause. The Nerazzuri now have no option but to sell him, with the player having won the Scudetto some weeks ago.

As the move to Real Madrid inches closer with every passing day, best wishes have come from Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio.

He spoke to TMW about the deal, making it clear that Dumfries is joining Los Blancos while also having Inter in his heart.

Confirming that the wing-back has left for Real Madrid, Ausilio said: โ€œDumfries has left. He had a clause and, above all, the desire to leave; I think itโ€™s legitimate. I understand the fansโ€™ disappointment, because heโ€™s a player who gave everything to Inter, but Iโ€™m happy for him.โ€

Ausilio is also hopeful that at some point, the Netherlands man returns to Inter in the future.

โ€œThis beautiful story ended well, I wish him the best at Real Madrid. You never know in life. A boy who leaves with his heart full of Inter might have the chance to see him again.โ€

Inter should be proud of deal

While Inter arenโ€™t earning a huge amount by any means, they are making a key capital profit from the deal anyway. This is despite Dumfriesโ€™ injuries last season and the fact that he has often been criticised quite a bit for his defensive lack of awareness.

He does have strengths in attack and from an athletic standpoint and that is Real Madrid will want to capitalise on.
