In the last few weeks, there has been quite a bit of talk around Alessandro Bastoni and a possible move to Barcelona. Serie A giants Inter would obviously be perturbed by the speculation, especially since the defender hasnโt had a great few months.
Bastoni was given a standing ovation during Interโs win over Roma. It was probably a sign of the restoration of love between the two parties.
Nerazzurri sporting director Piero Ausilio spoke about the defender at an event at Coverciano today. In a chat with FCInterNews โ via Calciomercato, he clarified that Barcelona havenโt come forward for the player and they know the phone numbers, if they want to do that.
He said: โBastoni has a contract with Inter, and there arenโt any situations right now that suggest Bastoni will leave Inter. Barcelona? I donโt know what theyโre saying in Spain, but weโre happy with what Bastoni has given to Inter, and weโre sure heโll give a lot more.
Ausilio also urged the Spanish media to shut down and focus on what is really going on.
โIf anyone is interested in Bastoni, they know the phone numbers, so they should do that, they shouldnโt talk.โ
So far, there have been a variety of rumours about Bastoni. Some have suggested he would be interested in a move to Barcelona, with others appearing certain he is keen on staying at Inter. It is fair to say that the next ew weeks will define everything.
