Inter keeping tabs on Como’s Maximo Perrone

Inter are closely monitoring the progress of Como’s midfield talent Máximo Perrone as they begin to plan for a potential transition in their central engine room.

According to L’Interista, the Argentine midfielder has firmly caught the eye of the Nerazzurri management following a string of impressive performances under Cesc Fàbregas. Perrone’s relationship with Como began with an initial loan spell from Manchester City last season, during which he first appeared on Inter’s radar. His impact was so significant that the Lariani moved to sign him on a permanent basis from the Premier League champions this past summer.

The interest from Inter is directly linked to the growing uncertainty surrounding the long-term future of Hakan Çalhanoğlu. Perrone is increasingly viewed as a natural successor to the Turkish international, capable of dictating play from deep with similar technical quality. However, securing his services will not be cheap. Como currently value him at 23-year-old at €30m.

As Inter weighs up a summer overhaul of their midfield, Perrone has emerged as a primary candidate to lead the next generation at the San Siro.
