Davide Frattesi’s tenure at Inter appears to be reaching its final stages, with a move to Turkey now emerging as a serious possibility. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian midfielder has begun to reconsider a move to Istanbul after initially showing resistance to the idea.
Notably, the Nerazzurri hierarchy has made their stance clear: they have no intention of allowing Frattesi to join a direct Serie A rival. Consequently, a sale abroad has become the only viable path for an early exit, provided a club meets the €30 million asking price. Indeed, both Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe have expressed interest, with the latter making a concrete enquiry, though they have yet to match Inter’s valuation.
Furthermore, Frattesi is aware that his role under Cristian Chivu has diminished, having been overtaken in the pecking order by Piotr Zieliński. While the player previously hesitated at the prospect of leaving Italy, he may now “review his position” as the transfer window progresses. Whether he departs this month or in the summer, the former Sassuolo man seems increasingly likely to continue his career outside of the peninsula.
