Juventus have officially ignited their pursuit of Al-Ahli midfielder Franck Kessié, making significant strides to bring the former Milan and Atalanta star back to Serie A.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Bianconeri held a formal meeting with the Ivorian’s agent on Tuesday to explore the feasibility of a summer transfer. The Turin giants are determined to move early, hoping that proactive dialogue with his entourage will allow them to beat out stiff competition from other European suitors before the window opens.
While a January move is not currently on the table, Juventus are laying the groundwork for a major reinforcement in June. The initial talks were positive, and both parties have already scheduled another meeting for the end of this month to further define the financial parameters and the player’s willingness to return to Italy.
Kessié, who has been a mainstay in Saudi Arabia, represents the profile of physicality and experience that the Juventus leadership believes is necessary to elevate their midfield. By securing an early advantage in negotiations, the Old Lady aims to ensure the player makes his return to the Peninsula in bianconero colors.
