Juventus were once the masters of the free market. They are looking to re-explore the market this time around and have their eyes set on RB Leipzig midfielder Xaver Schagler. They are reported to have started talks with for the player. A cut-price deal in January is believed to be impossible but a solution is being explored for the summer.
As per the calciomercato.com report, the 27 year old is not looking to enter a new contract with Leipzig and Juventus are presently believed to be the best placed for a deal. While given the fact that he is available for a free this summer, would mean that Juventus donโt have to pay a transfer fee, it would mean a salary increase for the Austrian. Schagler earns around โฌ4.5 million gross per season in Germany.
Schagler is known for his excellent attacking ability but consistent injuries have held him back from quite cementing himself in accordance with his talent.
