Juventusโ€™ Federico Gatti increasingly convinced about summer transfer

Federico Gatti hasnโ€™t exactly sparkled in the Serie A campaign for Juventus and is now seriously considering the idea of a departure.

The defender isnโ€™t seen as someone who offers a lot of value to Luciano Spallettiโ€™s side. That is why the Italian hasnโ€™t shown an inclination towards using him in the first-team.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Gatti feels he is now entering a very important period of his career and he wants to play regularly. He knows he will not get that in Turin anymore and is now convinced that he has leave, despite having gained the love of the Juventus fans quite a bit.

Juve value him at between โ‚ฌ20 million and โ‚ฌ25 million, with Napoli and Milan having previously explored January moves. But nothing materialised.

Now, Turkish sides are keeping a close eye on him. Premier League clubs have been previously interested and they still very much monitoring him.

Gattiโ€™s decision makes sense

Usually, Spalletti has liked using centre-backs that are reliable on the ball. This has been one of Gattiโ€™s weaknesses, as he is known more for his heading and ability to win the ball back.

That makes him a misfit for the ex-Napoli manager, who probably sees more value in starting Lloyd Kelly and Bremer. Gatti is approaching the prime of his career and should join a club that plays to his strengths.
