Serie A giants Juventus picked up a hard-fought 2-0 win over Atalanta, thanks to goals from Bremer and Francisco Conceicao. The Portuguese had a big part to play even in general and has now opened up about the result.
The winger scored in the first-half but Atalanta kept pushing for an equaliser constantly. Randal Kolo Muani made a decisive interception to deny them an equaliser too, as Bremer sealed the deal late in the tie.
Conceicao spoke to Sky Italia and he expressed belief that Juve could’ve kept the ball more in the first-half.
He said – via TuttoJuve: “We played a good game. We could have had more possession in the first half, but Atalanta are a strong team. We wanted to score the second goal, and we did. These are three very important points.”
Conceicao also said that he wants to score and assist more goals.
“I think so. I have to work on other things too, but it must be difficult for a full-back to play against me.”
“I need to score more goals and provide more assists because that’s what’s expected in today’s football, but I have to help the team achieve the collective goal, which is the most important thing.”
He also noted that Luciano Spalletti is also backing him to contribute to more goals too.
“We’re working on everything. It came today, but it could have come earlier. The goal is the result of teamwork. We played a great match, now we have to keep it up.”
The result lifts Juventus upto sixth in the Serie A, as they find themselves just three points behind league leaders Roma.
