Serie A side Juventus have appeared interested in selling keeper Michele Di Gregorio. No clubs have formally stepped forward for the Italian but his agent has now come out in the open to slam the Old Lady.
Carlo Alberto Belloni has taken to Instagram to air his frustration about Juventus and their running in the last few seasons, defending his client in the process.
Taking blame away from Di Gregorio, he said โ via Calciomercato: โ20 new players in two seasons. 3 coaches in 2 seasons. 3 managements in 2 seasons. These are the numbers that make the real difference. Di Gregorio finished fourth in the Sofascore standings ahead of Milinkovic-Savic and Sommer. He won the championship and finished second.โ
Belloni expressed belief that the player has been unfairly targetted when Juveโs problems are much bigger than the ex-Monza star.
โThe management spent โฌ130 million on three unpresentable strikers. To cover this crazy spending, they blamed the seasonโs failure entirely on the goalkeeper, bought by the previous management, represented by sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, as the best goalkeeper in Serie A at 26 years old.โ
The agent also made it clear that many clubs are following Di Gregorio and he will consider his future soon.
โDi Gregorio has a three-year contract with Juventus, he will go on retreat and during the transfer market we will evaluate any potential opportunities.โ
โHeโs on the shortlist of several European clubs, weโre in no rush. We demand respect for those who have always been there, even when it would have been easier to sit on the bench and chat.โ
