Juventus have initiated contact for Lorenzo Pellegrini through intermediaries as they closely monitor the midfielder’s situation at Roma.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri are tracking the Roma captain ahead of the summer, when his current contract is set to expire. Pellegrini currently earns €4m per season and is reportedly waiting for a project that offers a high probability of winning silverware.
Juventus believe they stand a strong chance of securing his signature, particularly with manager Luciano Spalletti keen on bringing the 29-year-old to Turin.
Spalletti views Pellegrini as a vital addition to the squad’s technical leadership. With his contract reaching its conclusion and the player seeking a new challenge focused on trophies, the Old Lady has moved to position herself as a primary destination for the Italian international.
Pellegrini started the season slow and was out of the squad for many weeks before he turned things around after a goal against Lazio.
