Juventus make initial contact for Sassuoloโ€™s Darryl Bakola

Serie A side Juventus have been in the race for Darryl Bakola in the last few weeks and they are attempting to make progress over a deal.

The midfielder didnโ€™t get enough game time last season to make a mark but things are changing in the ongoing campaign. His performance against the Bianconeri themselves caught everyoneโ€™s attention and talk is now growing.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that new Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali has spoken to Sassuoloโ€™s Francesco Palmieri about the player already. Further discussions could take place in the next few weeks, with the Old Lady keen on the deal.

Carnevaliโ€™s positive relations with Sassuolo will definitely help and the Italian is convinced Bakola has an engine which will thrive in the Premier League. They want to move quickly in an attempt to avoid Premier League interest, which could be decisive in the chase.

ย Vasilije Adzic can become important in this, as the Montenegrin talent has been loaned out to Sassuolo by Juve and is thriving in the top-flight. This is making Juve consider a push for Bakola and it can come as recently as January.
