Serie A side Juventus could make do with another midfield addition, especially as Khephren Thuram and Manuel Locatelli. They continue to monitor potential signings to bolster that part of the side, with Marseille’s Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg seen as a target.
The Dane was linked with a move to Milan in the summer but a move never quite materialised. Juve have been among the suitors and Tuttomercatoweb have some more information.
Niccolo Ceccarini reports that the midfield is a priority for Juve and Hojbjerg is a priority target, with the pressure on for a possible deal. Contact remains ongoing, with the French club open to a possible exit in January due to financial problems of their own.
The ex-Tottenham player’s personality is seen as the perfect fir for what Juve want, with Luciano Spalletti seeking a leader for the midfield.
Juve also see this as a good opportunity to exploit the market. Marseille had all but sold the player to Newcastle United in the summer, which suggests the same pattern can follow in January.
