Key details as Juventus seal move for Tottenhamโ€™s Pape Sarr

Serie A giants Juventus failed to land Franck Kessie on a free transfer and saw him move to Atalanta but have now made decisive progress in a move for Tottenhamโ€™s Pape Sarr.

Gianluca Di Marzio has now reported that the deal is closing, with Juventus and Tottenham having verbally agreed an initial loan deal for the midfielder.

Once the last details are formalised, the player will fly to Turin for his medical.ย 

Sportmediaset offer more information, reporting that Juve will pay a loan fee of โ‚ฌ3 million while having an option to buy set at โ‚ฌ30 million. The entirety of Sarrโ€™s salary will be paid by the Bianconeri.

There is confidence that the move has now closed and the agreement might be more than just verbal.

Juve are confident they have beaten competition from Monaco and Besiktas.

In a way, the deal will suit all parties too. Juventus have been in need of a midfielder because of Khephren Thuramโ€™s injury. Sarr, at his end, wants more game time as he has fallen out of favour at Tottenham.

The London clubโ€™s manager Roberto De Zerbi himself confirmed Sarr has asked to leave. Besides, they will free up some space from a financial standpoint to potentially land Iliman Ndiaye from Everton.
