Serie A sides Inter and Roma played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico in what was an accurate representation of the Italian top-flight so far in the campaign.
Manu Kone opened the scoring for the Giallorossi and also got a brace later in the first-half after a VAR check. But Inter, who have become accustomed to comebacks, grabbed one back through Lautaro Martinez early in the second half. As they kept pushing, the Argentine got another one later in the second 45, grabbing a brace of his own.
The Argentine has now urged the Nerazzurri to start games better, as theyโve fallen behind by two goals three times in the campaign.
Describing the performance, he told DAZN โ via TMW: โThe first half was a disaster because we werenโt on the pitch, our attitude wasnโt right. In the second half we changed our mentality, it becomes difficult in these types of matches. Weโll take this, itโs a great point.โ
The striker also shed light on the reasons why they didnโt start the game well.
He said: โItโs a question of attitude, of preparing for matches correctly. We do that, but we need to see how we start the matches because after that it becomes difficult.โ
Because of the result, the two teams remain unbeaten in the Serie A, having won all of their ties before today. Whether this gives a chance to the other competitors in the race remains to be seen.
