Liverpool enquire about Interโ€™s Denzel Dumfries

Liverpool have made contact with Inter to explore the possibility of signing Denzel Dumfries in a late-window move.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Premier League side has submitted an initial enquiry to gather information on the Dutch wing-back. The interest stems from the recent injury suffered by Jeremie Frimpong, who was forced off with a hamstring problem during Liverpoolโ€™s midweek Champions League victory over Qarabag.

Any concrete movement for Dumfries will depend heavily on the final diagnosis of Frimpongโ€™s condition. If the injury proves to be long-term, Arne Slotโ€™s side could accelerate their pursuit of the 29-year-old, whose physicality and European experience are highly regarded at Anfield.

Inter, meanwhile, are already assessing the market for potential replacements in case a super offer arrives, with Genoaโ€™s Brooke Norton-Cuffy identified as a primary target to fill the void. While Dumfries is nearing a return from his own recent injury layoff, the situation remains fluid as the deadline approaches.
