Manu Kone has regularly been linked with moves away from Serie A side Roma and now, it feels like his exit is becoming increasingly likely, with Manchester United and Chelsea on alert.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the pressure from the Premier League has intensified for the Frenchman, who will soon return to Italy. Now, it looks like the balance has tipped in the favour of him departing the Giallorssi, especially as the club will earn a significant capital gain from his departure.
Selling him for around โฌ55 million would result in a capital gain of over โฌ40 million, to which should be added the gross salary savings (โฌ5.2 million) and the amortization savings (โฌ3.8 million), which would give Roma a major financial package.
Manchester United are currently leading the race, with Kone on their shortlist. Chelsea are also in the race, having spoken to Roma already for Alejandro Garnacho and even Diego Moreira. Kone himself is keen on a move to England, having rejected Atletico Madrid and with a move from PSG yet to come around.
Roma are preparing for the departure too, with Celticโs Arne Engels identified as a replacement.
