Milan have struggled to impose themselves in Serie A in the last few weeks and are pretty much out of the title race already. Now, Max Allegri isnโt fully convinced about staying beyond this season.
SportItalia โ via Calciomercato, report that Italy are currently in fray to hire the ex-Juventus manager. This isnโt the only trouble Allegri is facing at Milan though, as things stand.
He is not happy with the deals Milan did in the summer and frustrated about the ones that werenโt done too. He has specific annoyance about the fact that the Rossoneri didnโt sign a centre-back in January and ended up with Niclas Fullkrug, who has been disappointing.
However, a move to the Azzurri will depend on the appointment of Giovanni Malago as president. It does seem like he is the clear frontrunner to be taking over the role and he sees Allegri as a priority appointment for the managerial position.
The next few weeks will now likely dictate everything and Malagoโs appointment is going to be quite decisive.
