Max Allegri unsure of Milan stay as Italy prowl

Milan have struggled to impose themselves in Serie A in the last few weeks and are pretty much out of the title race already. Now, Max Allegri isnโ€™t fully convinced about staying beyond this season.

SportItalia โ€“ via Calciomercato, report that Italy are currently in fray to hire the ex-Juventus manager. This isnโ€™t the only trouble Allegri is facing at Milan though, as things stand.

He is not happy with the deals Milan did in the summer and frustrated about the ones that werenโ€™t done too. He has specific annoyance about the fact that the Rossoneri didnโ€™t sign a centre-back in January and ended up with Niclas Fullkrug, who has been disappointing.

However, a move to the Azzurri will depend on the appointment of Giovanni Malago as president. It does seem like he is the clear frontrunner to be taking over the role and he sees Allegri as a priority appointment for the managerial position.

The next few weeks will now likely dictate everything and Malagoโ€™s appointment is going to be quite decisive.
