Milan make contact for Leverkusen’s Ibrahim Maza and why deal would make sense

Serie A side Milan continue to attempt to bolster their attack and have now placed emphasis on potentially signing Leverkusen’s Ibrahim Maza.

Daniele Longo has reported that Ruben Amorim is keen on signing the attacking midfielder and it is a position the Portuguese wants his side to strenghen in. He is also a player the Rossoneri have liked since his time at Hertha Berlin. Last summer, discussions were held but Leverkusen signed the Algerian at that point.

Now, fresh talks have been held with the player’s entourage at Stellar. They are also handling the negotiations involving Rafael Leao and Fenerbahce.

For now, Leverkusen’s demands are proving to be a problem. They see him as an important player for next season and value him at around €40 million. The two clubs could meet in the next few days and understand the possibility of further negotiations.

Move makes sense

Milan need players who can operate in tight spaces, open games up and Amorim himself has made that quite clear quite appreciating Samuel Chukwueze’s profile. Maza could be that signing and a move for him can heat up, when Leao leaves.
