Milan prepare new deal for Adrien Rabiot as player enjoys impressive season

Serie A side Milan have seen Adrien Rabiot become of their most important players this season, with the Frenchman having found the net against Atalanta at the weekend.

Everyone at Milan are currently happy with his role and La Gazzetta dello Sport look at Gerry Cardinaleโ€™s positive perception of the player too. Rabiot has, so far in the campaign, already contributed to seven goals, finding the net four times and racking up three assists.

Milan are now keen on tying him down to a long-term deal and are working on a contract that runs out in 2030. His current deal runs out in 2028 and there is an option for a further year. But Milan want to keep him in the longer term, as theyโ€™re also impressed with his leadership in the squad, which has more influence than Mike Maignan.

Rabiot also feels like a good fit for Ruben Amorimโ€™s system, largely due to his versatility. He has played in attacking midfield, while also filling in effortlessly in central midfield too.
