Milan speak to Al Nassr to extend multi-club model

Serie A side Milanโ€™s owner Gerry Cardinale is looking to expand his football empire and considerations are being made to include Al Nassr into the network.

In Serie A, Roma are a classic example of multi-club ownership, as the Friedkins are also owners of Everton. Another example is that of Udinese, where the Pozzo family also own Watford in the Championship. Milan have also followed that plan, with Cardinale also owning French side Toulouse.

Gianluigi Longari reports that the Rossoneri do not intend to stop at Toulouse. Discussions have been held with Al Nassr to have the Saudi side under the RedBird network.

Contacts were made indirectly and the idea has been assessed by the two clubs. For now, the task appears to be uphill but Cardinale is evaluating the idea of making this possible.

There is every reason Jorge Mendes is playing a big role in this. The Portuguese has been closely working with Cardinale in the last few months over incomings and outgoings and has excellent contacts in the Middle East.
