According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport via Calcio Napoli 24, Zanioloโs wish to raise his salary is making headwinds at Udinese as Napoli hope for a transfer swoop this summer.ย
The Italian international currently earns โฌ1.2 million under his contract with the Friulani until 2029, and he is looking to increase it to at least โฌ2 million ahead of the new season. During his tenure with Galatasaray, he earned over โฌ3 million, and Udinese promised to review his contract with the club. Coming on the back of a positive loan season with the Udine-based outfit, scoring five goals and assists each across 32 league appearances for the club, they are going ahead with their promise, but things could take a turn if other Serie A sides join the race.ย
Zaniolo was bought from the Turkish giants by Udinese when they triggered a โฌ9 million purchase option at the end of his loan deal.ย
