Nottingham Forest have intensified their pursuit of Napoli striker Lorenzo Lucca, submitting a formal proposal to take the Italian international on loan with an option to buy.
According to Alfredo Pedullร , the Premier League side has been tracking the 25-year-old since early January and view him as a key addition to their attacking frontline. However, despite Forestโs strong interest, Lucca currently harbors reservations about a mid-season move to England.
The striker is seeking more consistent playing time after falling down the pecking order in Naples behind Rasmus Hojlund and the returning Romelu Lukaku. While the lure of the Premier League is significant, Lucca is also considering a potential return to Pisa. A move back to Tuscany remains a serious option for the forward, who previously excelled with the club and would be guaranteed a central role in their project.
With Forest pushing hard to finalize the deal, the coming days will be crucial in determining whether Lucca opts for a new adventure in the Premier League or chooses the familiarity of a return to Pisa to reignite his season.
