Nico Paz has grown in stature in Serie A and he is set to stay at Como. To make things better, the attacking midfielder made his World Cup debut for Argentina earlier today.
Even if he didnโt score, he made a mark with his ability on the ball and showed that he can easily make the cut at the highest level.
He spoke to FIFAโs official channels after the win over Jordan, making it clear that this was life-long dream which has now come true.
The attacking midfielder said โ via TMW: โThe truth is that Iโve realized a lifelong dream. Few people can say theyโve played in a World Cup, and even fewer as a starter. Itโs a source of great pride for me. If 1 play well,I can capitalize on the trust theyโve placed in me, just like everyone else does.โ
He also spoke about his club and how different both scenarios are to him.
โI tried to play as I usually do with my club, and I think I played well. Before the match, the coach told me to be myself and that everyone counts on me. They support me, telling me not to be afraid to take the initiative.โ
The debut was well deserved for Nico Paz, who has come a long way in the last two years. With Leo Messi closer towards retirement with every game, there is every chance the Como star steps in for him for years to come in the future.
