Nottingham Forest now expected to sign Napoli’s Lorenzo Lucca

Nottingham Forest are closing in on the signing of Napoli striker Lorenzo Lucca, with the Premier League side now confident of finalising a deal in the coming hours.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the 25-year-old forward has spent the last few days weighing up his future but Forest have moved decisively to secure his signature. The English club is so optimistic about reaching a total agreement that a private plane is already standing by to transport the Italian international to the UK for his medical.

While Pisa have made a strong, late push to bring Lucca back to Tuscany—a destination the player held in high regarD, Forest’s project appears to have won out. The deal is expected to be a loan with a significant purchase option, allowing Antonio Conte’s side to clear space in the squad for their own incoming targets.

Barring any last-minute hitches, Lucca is expected to complete his move to the City Ground by the end of the day, bringing a swift end to his six-month stay in Naples.
