Serie A giants Milan were keen on hiring Ralf Rangnick as their next sporting director but the deal is now expected to fall through.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Rangnick was clear with Gerry Cardinale and Zlatan Ibrahimovic during the meetings with the Rossoneri owners and he asked for full control of the technical area, without interference.
He had concerns specifically about Zlatan and he was scared about how things can turn out to be same as they were last season. The ex-Manchester United manager wanted a system that is based on aggression and high pressing and wanted everyone at the club to pull in the same direction.
Milan didnโt respond and Rangnick has now run out of patience. If they saidย โyesโ right away, he was keen on bringing his staff in, end his time with Austria and then work with Oliver Glasner. Now, he is willing to fully invest his time in the World Cup and move on.

There is no surprise about this and again, it shows how Zlatan is arguably the biggest problem at the club. His approach makes sure individuals with sporting ideas donโt want to join the club and this is something Cardinale has to know, if the club has to proceed.
