Roma sporting director Ricky Massara has provided a key update on the clubโs transfer strategy, with the future of Kostas Tsimikas and a potential move for Yannick Carrasco taking center stage.
The Greek full-back has recently been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest, and the situation regarding his possible departure remains active.
When asked about Tsimikas potentially returning to Liverpool or moving elsewhere, and the status of the pursuit for Carrascoโfor whom an initial offer has already been madeโMassara kept the door open for late-window movement.
He said โ relayed by TMW: โThey are evolving situations. Letโs see in the next few days, Carrasco is also a very strong player. Itโs never easy to do it in January, letโs wait for the last week to understand if we can strengthen the squad which, however, is very strong.โ
While the Giallorossi have already seen a positive impact from winter arrival Donyell Malen, Massaraโs comments confirm that the club is still working on high-profile reinforcements. The pursuit of Carrasco remains difficult despite the opening bid, and the final week of the window will determine whether Roma can finalize the Belgianโs arrival or if Tsimikas will head toward the Premier League.
