Roma’s Evan Ferguson returns to Brighton amidst medical crisis

Evan Ferguson’s loan spell at Roma has descended into a full-blown horror situation, with the young striker forced to return to Brighton for yet another medical consultation regarding his persistent ankle issues.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Irish international has traveled back to England after it became clear that he is significantly struggling to overcome the injury. This latest move comes after extensive conversations between the medical staff at Roma and the player, who had already flown to England previously to seek specialist advice.

The situation has become increasingly bleak for the forward, who arrived in the capital with high expectations but has seen his season completely derailed by physical setbacks.

Despite various attempts at rehabilitation in Italy, the lack of progress has necessitated this return to his parent club for a deeper assessment of the joint. For Ferguson, what was supposed to be a career-defining experience in Serie A has instead turned into a nightmare of specialist visits and recurring pain, leaving his availability for the remainder of the season in serious doubt.
