Serie A side Napoli have seen frustrations rise about the situation of Scott McTominay, as they have been struggling to hand him a new deal. Some clarity is emerging but things donโt look great for the Partenopei.
Tuttomercatoweb have reported that all things considered, the ex-Manchester United player should leave Napoli in the summer of 2027.
The player has demanded a wage of โฌ8 million per season, which is out of the clubโs budget. Besides, Napoli believe McTominay is too old to be handed a big deal and only a player in his prime should be paid that.
Due to this, the Scotland man is likely to depart next summer, with clubs having made attempts for him in the previous transfer window. Napoli currently value him at between โฌ25 million and โฌ30 million, which should hand them a significant capital gain, if a sale does go through.

Decision makes sense
In a way, Napoliโs decision is sensible and theyโre sticking to how they operate in the market too. Besides, there is no evidence over whether Max Allegri can bring the best out of McTominay or not, as he has been dealing with problems around Kevin De Bruyne too. Playing both of them and trying to get the most out of them could be a difficult task.
