Milan have announced that Giacomo Bonaventura suffered a grade one muscle strain in the match against Genoa.
Further exams will be done in ten days but it usually takes 2-3 weeks to fully recover.
The 28-year-old has made seven Serie A appearances thus far but has yet to contribute a goal or assist.
