In a shocking turn of events, Bordeaux have now not granted Malcom authority to travel to Rome tonight ahead of completing his proposed move to join AS Roma.
The French club are holding off as Barcelona have inserted themselves into discussions at the final moment, according to Sky Sport Italia.
All was agreed for Malcom to fly into Rome tonight and complete his medical exams tomorrow morning.
Both Bordeaux and Roma had even sent out tweets confirming the agreement between the clubs.
French reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi says that Barcelona’s offer is €41 million and he expects Roma to increase their offer as well.
While the race to sign Malcom seem to have been over, there is yet another twist and turn to go as Barca and Roma enter a bidding war.
