Sampdoria have announced the arrival of Alex Ferrari from Bologna on loan with an obligation to buy.
The 23-year-old defender is a Bologna youth product, joining the club in 2002.
Ferrari spent last season on loan at Hellas Verona, making a total of 27 appearances.
