Lautaro Martinez: “Inter is my home.”

Having enjoyed a superb start to the season, Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has understandably been linked with a raft of top clubs, but the striker insists he is more than happy with life in Milan.

“Inter is my home,” he told Sky Italia.  “For me, they’re something very important. The fans are always kind to me, I find that fantastic. I try to work with humility and show I’m worthy of this shirt. I want to give the Nerazzurri fans and my family as much joy as possible.

“I’m always focused when I go out on the field, already with my head focused on the game at hand. I’m happy with what I’m doing. It’s also a matter of luck, of course, but we must never forget any details at any time during the match.

“I’ve always trained to be ready. The coach’s tactics have helped me, but he treats everyone the same way so each of us must train to the maximum in order to play. I’ve clicked with [Romelu] Lukaku, he’s also a fantastic guy off the field. Our objective is to score as many goals as possible to help the team.”
