Mancini equals Italy record

Roberto Mancini has equalled the all-time Italy winning streak, the side’s 5-0 victory over Liechtenstein his side’s ninth in a row.

This feat has never been achieved since Azzurri boss Vittorio Pozzo recorded nine wins between May 1938 and March 1939.

The legendary Coach won two World Cups with Italy in both 1934 and 1938, but he may be overtaken by Mancini in terms of consecutive wins if his team beat Bosnia and Herzogovina away from home on November 15th.
