Sarri: “No favourites in Inter-Juve”

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri revealed at his pre-match press conference that there are “no favourites” when Inter take on his side on Sunday evening.

“Tomorrow we will find a strong team, in a moment of prosperity. In this single game there are no favourites, I only see two strong teams. It’s a good feeling to know how to play a game like that.

“Inter are a complete team, who are very dangerous and good at starting over. Tomorrow will not be Conte versus Sarri, but it will be a beautiful fixture between Inter andJuve. It will be important to leave San Siro having put in a good performance. Looking at the current standings would be a big mistake.”

“We must cement the positive steps we are taking. At this stage we must be very focused on performance. Our average ball recovery has increased compared to the first few games. There has been an improvement.

“[Paulo] Dybala or [Gonzalo] Higuain? I will decide calmly. It’s normal to be angry when you’re left out. Bernardeschi struggled to prove himself in the role that I think is best suited to him. I think what he did against Bayer showed this is a role he can adapt to. He did well and I saw him improving.”

“I really like teams that have a precise way of playing. It’s a great skill for coaches to have the capacity to make few mistakes.

What will you do if you go five points behind Inter in the case of defeat?

“The ranking in October must not affect us, if it did we could not aim high.”
