Gianluca Di Marzio reports tonight that former Cagliari manager Rolando Maran is edging closer to taking on the Genoa job.
The Ligurians had previously targeted Spezia manager Vincenzo Italiano, however the man who led the team to promotion last week is set to sign a new contract tying him to the club until 2022.
Meanwhile, Maran will meet with the Cagliari management tomorrow to iron out the details of the termination of his contract. He will then go on to sign a two-year-deal with Genoa.
