Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Milan midfielder Lucas Paquetá gave his verdict on an impressive performance against Lazio on Saturday, while looking ahead to his team’s clash against an in-form Juventus side on Tuesday. The Brazilian, who had gone through a difficult season so far, was keen to underline that his confidence has returned in the past few weeks, as seen in his performances on the pitch.
“It was such a special win, it had been so long that Milan hadn’t beaten Lazio by scoring three goals. We are very happy with our performance and we hope to continue in this vein, with Juventus in mind. We played very well in the Coppa Italia with a man down, now we have the opportunity to beat them. Ibrahimović has returned to the team, we are full of confidence and we feel like we can go toe to toe with Juve and win.”
“It’s true that now I have more confidence, but what you are watching is the Paquetá people were seeing in Brazil. I have more confidence thanks to the manager, the staff and my team-mates. I’m more calm, I’m working well, I’m concentrated during games and I only think about giving it my all.”
