Sky Sport Italia report that talks are ongoing between Milan and Bundesliga side Schalke 04 over the transfer of defender Ozan Kabak. The Rossoneri, in the market for a centre-back in the final days of the mercato, have set their sights on the Turkish international, but are yet to reach an agreement with the Germans over a transfer fee.
A meeting has taken place between the player’s agent and Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, while an offer of €15m including bonuses has been made, with Schalke valuing the player at €25m.
Talks are set to continue over the coming hours, with Chelsea’s Antonio Rüdiger the fall-back option for the Rossoneri in case a deal for Kabak should fall through.
