Lega Serie A have confirmed in a statement this afternoon that Napoli will be penalised by a point and handed a 3-0 loss for the match against Juventus, for which the Azzurri were reportedly not able to show up as a result of a decree by local health authorities.
The Sporting Judge, the authority which made the final decision, ruled that the rules set out local health authority – the ASL – of Naples relating to the two cases of Covid-19 in the team did not go against the Italian FA’s protocol, judging that the Azzurri would have been able to travel anyway.
