Sassuolo chairman Carnevali on Jérémie Boga: “He is solicited by many clubs but we intend to keep him.”

Sassuolo chairman Giovanni Carnevali was interviewed on Rai 2 programme La Domenica Sportiva – transcribed by Sky Sport Italia – in which he discussed potential transfer dealings, insisting that the club’s in-demand Ivorian would be going nowhere in the summer.

“Boga has grown a lot and in that respect we must give credit to our manager De Zerbi, who in a year has managed to have him express himself at high levels. He is solicited by many clubs but we intend to keep him, we don’t want to let go of him because we will continue the project that [late former owner] Dr Squinzi had in mind. I think that Boga will be wearing the Sassuolo shirt as well next year.”
