Claudio Ranieri on Watford move: “I can adapt to everything.”

New Watford boss Claudio Ranieri has opened up about how his move to the Hornets came about and when he was contacted by the Pozzo family regarding a move.

Ranieri spoke to Radio Anch’io Sport and he was asked about his most recent move to Watford. The Italian told about how the opportunity came about.

The ex-Leicester manager claimed: “It happened after the last defeat, President Pozzo called me and asked me if I wanted to return to England, and I was happy to do so. Where there is a good project, I’m always present there.”

“If I have been training for 35 years, it means that I can adapt to everything. My greatest quality is to make my teams perform at their best.”

Watford had sacked Xisco Munoz days before Ranieri’s appointment and the Hornets currently find themselves at 15th in the Premier League table.
